PROGRAM INFORMATION
Two day CME course Comprehensive update including: Epidemiology and causes of HF Pathophysiology of HF Evaluation of HF Management of hospitalized patients and Management of HF in outpatient settings Co-morbidities or coexisting conditions in HF Pulmonary arterial hypertension Cardiac surgery in HF including Heart transplant and Mechanical circulatory support.  A major focus is to meet your learning needs and tailor the materials to what is emphasized on the actual ABIM examination offered on November 8, 2010.  Held three weeks prior to the first ABIM Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation examination. The lectures will be given by the Columbia University physicians.   Our two- day intensive course will also offer up to 16 ACCME credit hours as part of the curriculum, and will provide a comprehensive review for attendees interested in increasing their knowledge in Advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplant. Lectures will include case-presentations, didactic lectures, and the use of the ARS (Audio Response) system to encourage learning in an interactive environment.
