About the Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases
Internationally recognized and known throughout the tri-state region, the Columbia University Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases provides a full spectrum of services to patients.
Our expertise includes:
Supported by a faculty of 29 physicians and over 50 research and support staff, the Division provides exceptional patient care, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, facilities and modalities.
Research is also a major component of the Division’s strength. World-class laboratory research is conducted within the division in several disciplines including:
- Gastric Cancer
- Liver Disease
- Pancreas Cancer
Success in academic medicine is not just measured through quality patient care and cutting edge research, but through educating tomorrow’s physicians. Our fully accredited ACGME Fellowship trains 12-13 physicians seeking sub-specialization in gastroenterology. We also offer a year long, fourth year advanced fellowship in Interventional Gastroenterology. Teaching of medical students and rotating residents and fellows is also a core responsibility in which the Division participates.
Additionally, we conduct annual educational programs for practicing gastroenterologists and other specialists from around the world. Our dedicated physicians, researchers and support staff are dedicated to providing patients with the finest medical care and scientific advances which will help shape the future of gastroenterology.
