Chief Residents' Message
As recent graduates of our residency program, we are particularly excited to get to know you – our program’s future – and to share with you our mission of excellence in clinical education, research, and service to the community.

During your visit, you will experience many aspects of our program including the inpatient wards, ambulatory clinics, teaching conferences, and attending rounds. But most importantly, you will interact with the heart and soul of the program, the House Staff. Inevitably, you may find that you have questions that were not addressed during the interview day. So, we would like to share some resources that will be particularly useful as you navigate the match process.

First and foremost, the residents are your most important source of information. We want you to get an accurate view of our program, to understand the life of a resident in our program. To that end, the entire House Staff is available via email or by phone to answer your questions.
Left to Right - Keith Brenner, MD, Natalie Bello, MD,
Aimee Lucas, MD, Jonathan Newman MD, MPH

We have provided you with a list of our residents, their e-mail addresses, and the medical school from which they graduated. Please note that the residents rotate regularly and may be on vacation or otherwise unavailable when you contact them.

On our website, you will be able to find more information about the program, including details of the residency structure, the diverse post-residency destinations of recent graduates, and various educational and clinical resources. In particular, we encourage you to explore two websites which were designed by and now maintained by our housestaff: Readings in Internal Medicine, and the Virtual MICU. Links to both sites can be found under Educational Resources.

Finally, we would like to extend ourselves as resources. As chiefs, we make it a point to get to know all of our House Staff personally, and similarly, we play an active role in the recruitment of new colleagues. During your visit, please feel free to ask us questions about our training program. If you have further questions about the program after your visit or are interested in taking a second look in person, please do not hesitate to contact us. Once again, welcome. We hope you enjoy your visit.
